Chris Roe :- Well what can we say, its only just after 11pm and we have suffered 2 faulty carbs, one faulty engine and one engine has fallen out !!! All have been replaced but having just finished my stint it felt like a clutch is now playing up, what a day... Can the person with the voodoo doll please stop pushing pins in it as its getting past a joke !!!

Chris Roe :- Well not the best of starts the kart is quite a bit off the pace but were hoping to hang on well until we can check it out at service, just had a red flag situation where a kart was engulfed in a fire ball but thankfully the driver appears to be ok and walked away. Bobs now in the driving seat and the red flag fell as we came out of the pits so we didn't loose any time

was looking fairly good this morning the track has dried up alot even though it was raining most of the night, although there is still a few puddles here and there it should dry with the karts on track. well that is until next time it rains anyway.
Chris Roe :- Well morning has come and not long till the start of qualifying and practice, the weathers looking dry for now, good luck too all the SDMC teams let's hope we all have a good race

night night

It is now 1:25 am on race day the rain has started coming down again after a short respite. (hopefully the race suit will be dry for the start of the race) We have had a good meal and a laugh with judy les and simon tonight while relaxing in the sdmc motorhomes. we get our race karts at 7:30 in the morning so it is now time for some shut eye before the alarm goes of at 6:30 as this might be the last sleep we get untill sunday night

After most of the day watching the owner drivers practising myself an Chris (team a) decided to get out and have a practise in the wet , which I am glad we did just to remind ourselves what it was like in the soaking wet conditions. Chris went first for half an hour and did a good job looking stable and solid times. I then went next and noticed how slow the private karts were in the wet but they sailed past on the straights. After weighing in our team is plus 1 lap at  the start . So should be set for a good race

kart 10 team sdmc 2 race hire

team c have been out practising in there kart first to go out was A bishop who at the first corner went straight into the gravel trap so had to come back to the pits and get the car checked out. C peacock went out next and was finding the car very twitchy and was stugging to keep up to the standard hire karts who were out there having some wet practise.
Race weekend finally here today we go for weigh in and sign on. And all owner driver karts and race karts can go for free practise.

Ahmed Sabir  has had problem fitting into there race kart as it only has small seats. Dave brownridge had had to get the race kart pedals adjusted as he couldn't reach them.

1 week to go

It is just over a week to go now but next Thursday we will be there setting up our camp. Then on Friday we get weighed in and can do testing and on Saturday we have testing and qualifying before the race starts at midday for a gruelling 24hr hrs. But before that team c have to go down and check there pro kart out for size etc and get fitted in to the right size seat, but that might be awkward as there is a large difference in size from C Fish and A Sabir to the likes of A Bishop in there team.
Everyone is really looking forward to the event now but the nerves and tension will start to build up soon
